Getting around the site
How do I tour the site?
Roll the mouse over any of the menu boxes along the top of the site,
any with a small green arrow
will reveal another set of menu items. When a menu item is selected
the arrow will turn red and the background to the menu item will
darken. Click on any darkened box without an arrow to go to that
item.
On long pages you may want to get back to the top of the page quickly.
Either press the 'Home' key, or click on where you see Top
What are links?
Links are a quick way to get to another web
page. You can recognise most links because any text that is underlined
acts as a link. To follow a link click on the underlined text. If
the link is to another website then it will open in a new browser
window and also leave the CPM website browser window open. How
do I return to the homepage of the site?
The CPM logo located at the top of the menu list acts as a link
to the main homepage of the site. By clicking on the logo you can
return to the main screen.
I don't see any menus along the top
of the site.
The site makes use of what is known as Java,
a computer programming language. This is mainly used for the menus.
You should enable Java in the browser options. If Java is not enabled
then the menus will not work and you should use the Site
Map to navigate around the site.

Printing
How can I print out
the complete site?
Most browsers provide a facility to print not only the page on the
screen, but also any pages that are linked to it. To print out the
complete site, go to the Site Map, select Print, and under the Options
tab, select 'Print all linked documents'. It may take a while as
the site has a good number of pages in it. Note that this will not
print out details of all the events as these are not stored as a
normal web page.
Can I turn off printing the coloured bars
around the site?
Most web browsers will allow you to select
what you print. For example, if you are using Internet Explorer,
then click on the word 'Tools' along the top of the screen, then
select the 'Internet Options' menu item and click on the 'Advanced'
tab. Scroll down to where it says 'Printing' and clear the check
box alongside 'Print background colours and images'. Click 'Apply'
and then 'OK.
I've lost the header and footer information on my printouts
In Internet Explorer 6 you can change the
information printed out as headers and footers. To do this, select
File, then Page Setup.
Enter the required codes into the Header and Footer sections.
Typically the header might be: &w &b&bPage &p of &P
and the Footer: &u &b&b&d
For more help, double click on the '?' in the top RH corner of the
Page Setup window and then click over the Header box and a full
list of codes should be displayed.
My ink cartridges run out quickly
By default most systems seem to be set to
print in good quality colour. Many people will find that draft black
and white printouts are quite acceptable for most purposes. To change
the default for all programs (assuming windows XP), click on the
'Start' menu, then on 'Settings' and select 'Printers and Faxes'.
Right click on the printer you use and select 'Properties'. What
happens next will depend upon the printer. You need to find where
the colour and quality are set, this should be under 'Printing Preferences',
select what you want as default and click 'Apply', then 'OK' and
'OK' again.

Accessibility
Can I make the text size any bigger
The size of text can often be increased slightly by changing the
text size under the View menu of the browser. A greater increase
can usually be obtained by changing the screen resolution of your
display by use of the Windows Control Panel. For a radical change
in appearance, then there are several accessibility options, also
available under the control panel, or if you are running Windows
XP, then press the Windows Key (often next to the CTRL key at the
bottom of the keyboard) together with the letter U and various accessibility
options will come up, including a screen magnifier. Refer to Microsoft
Help for more information on this, or email via the link above for
more assistance.
Can the computer read out the text on the screen?
if you are running Windows XP, then press the Windows Key together
with the letter U and various accessibility options will come up,
including the narrator. Refer to the Microsoft Help for more information
on this, or email via the link above for more assistance. If you
are not running Windows XP, then there are various utilities which
can be downloaded from the web which may serve the same function.

Browsers
Which browser should
be used?
Our site has been designed to work with a wide range of browsers.
You should have no problem viewing the site if you use Netscape
Navigator 4.0 (or later) or Internet Explorer 4.01 (or later).
Which screen resolution is best?
This site is best viewed at either 800x600 or 1024x768 screen resolution.
If your screen resolution is higher than that, then the site will
probably be easier to via if the browser window is not maximized.
The screen color depth should be set to at least 256 colors, preferably
higher.
What about cookies
and pop-ups?
The site does not make any use of cookies.
There are a few Pop-Up windows
on the site. If you have a programme that stops pop-ups, then either
allow them for this site, or use whatever key combination is required
to allow them. For example, with Mcafee, hold down the CTRL key
while clicking on a link.
How can I see more on the screen?
You can switch between the normal view and what is known as 'Full
Screen', by pressing the key marked F11. Pressing it again will
switch you back to the normal view. Try it out!
Pages don't always seem up to date,
or things don't seem to work properly
To save reloading the same page every
time your computer accesses the internet, computers may be set up
to store information locally and reuse it. Although the computer
should recheck to see if the information has changed, this does
not always happen. If you are getting problems then hit the
refresh icon, or F5 on the keyboard.
It may also be worthwhile deleting temporary
internet files and checking for the
default setting for when the browser checks for new versions. Go
to the browser help facility to see how to do that as it is different
with each browser.

Just double click with the left mouse button on the underlined email
address and an email editing window should open up already correctly

the site?
Please click on the link at the bottom left of the homepage site
and you will be able to email the CPM Website Editor with comments
or questions.
Who do I contact if I have specific questions about Christian
Prayer Ministries or more general questions about prayer ministry?
Once again, please click on the link at the bottom right of the

appropriate person to answer your question.
We hope you find this information useful and hope you spend some
